Santiago de los Caballeros.– Edmundo Aja Fleites, founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hodelpa Hospitality, was recognized for his distinguished business career and his contributions to the tourism development of Santiago and the Dominican Republic during the First ASHORESA Golf Tournament 2026, organized by the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Province of Santiago (ASHORESA).
The recognition was presented during the tournament’s opening ceremony by ASHORESA President Lourdes De la Rosa, who highlighted Aja’s legacy of more than four decades of dedicated work in the tourism sector and his contribution to the growth of the country’s hospitality industry.
With this recognition, Hodelpa Hospitality celebrates the career of its founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, whose leadership has contributed to the consolidation of the hotel group and its continued growth within the Dominican tourism sector.
The First ASHORESA Golf Tournament 2026 brought together more than one hundred players and was attended by local authorities. Santiago Mayor Ulises Rodríguez performed the ceremonial opening shot, officially marking the start of the competition, which was held at Las Aromas Golf Course.
