Edmundo Aja has been awarded the 2025 National Tourism Award
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – Mr. Edmundo Aja, founder and chairman of the Board of Directors of Hodelpa Hotels, was honored for his extensive and transformative career in the Dominican tourism sector during the fourth edition of the National Tourism Awards, held on October 7.
The award was presented jointly with businessman Frank Rainieri at a ceremony that brought together prominent figures in tourism, business leaders, and the media.The National Tourism Award is organized by Todo Turismo Travely and annually recognizes projects, companies, and individuals who have had a significant impact on the promotion, development, and sustainability of tourism in the Dominican Republic.
With this recognition, Hodelpa Hotels celebrates the career of its founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, whose visionary leadership has been instrumental in establishing the chain as a benchmark for excellence, sustainability, and Dominican hospitality.
During the ceremony, emphasis was placed on the visionary leadership of Edmundo Aja, Cuban by birth and Dominican by choice, who arrived in the country in 1986 and has since been a pioneer in real estate development in Santiago and the founder of the Hodelpa Hotels chain in 1991. Since then, he has guided its growth with innovation, sustainability, and social commitment. Under his leadership, the chain has established a strong national presence, positioning itself as a benchmark for Dominican quality and hospitality.
