Our History

Dominican hotel chain HODELPA, Hoteles del País, S. A., was founded in 1990 by investors with ties to the construction and tourism sectors.

The company was founded based on a decision made by a group of young entrepreneurs to develop significant hotel complexes that would reflect high standards of quality and maximum profitability in the most demanding tourism areas of the country.

They addressed the lack of hotel space in Santiago de los Caballeros, the second

largest city in the Dominican Republic , by building the GRAN ALMIRANTE HOTEL & CASINO. This hotel combines state-of-the-art facilities, the warmth of people proud of their traditions, and excellence in guest service.

With the addition of HODELPA CENTRO PLAZA to the HODELPA family, came innovative and efficient strategies in the areas of human resources, marketing, sales and finance. This property is a true reflection of Santiago, a city that captures the tradition and vibrant rhythm of its people.
